The RISE-UP project, co-funded by Interreg VI-A IPA Programme Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro, tackles critical healthcare challenges in rural and remote areas of Croatia (Metković), Bosnia and Herzegovina (Ljubuški and Zenica), and Montenegro (Tivat).
The project aims to enhance healthcare quality and accessibility through cross-border cooperation. Key activities include purchasing modern medical equipment to improve diagnostic capabilities, implementing ICT solutions for better communication and data sharing between healthcare providers, and organizing preventive health examinations and workshops to promote early detection and disease prevention. Additionally, the project will purchase vehicles to enable healthcare professionals to reach remote areas and provide home-based care for those in need.
RISE-UP also focuses on empowering healthcare professionals by providing training programs that enhance their knowledge and skills in preventive care.
The project will directly benefit at least 3,800 people through preventive exams and home visits while improving healthcare services for a regional population of over 170,000.

The total budget of the partner Public Institution Healthcare Center Zenica amounts to 452,781.00 Euros, of which the program will co-finance the amount of 384,836.85 Euros
